Coarse Fishing
Coarse fishing at Middle Boswin
Sheltered within a wood, our 1 acre coarse lake is an ideal venue for the pleasure angler, as well as being a great bagging water for the more experienced angler. Stocked with a variety of fish you should catch all day. Established over many years the coarse lake is stocked with carp to 10lb, chub to 6lb and roach reaching 2lb plus. Crucian carp, rudd, perch and skimmers will also show to most baits, so be prepared for a good mixed bag.
The mature trees and shrubs provide shelter and a picturesque setting. It has an island in the middle and small patches of lilies as features to fish to.
Tactics: fish light and don’t overfeed. Float fishing with corn, worm, maggot/caster or carp pellet proven to be the best method. Don’t ignore the margins. Some of the best fish have been caught less than a rod length out.
